Sally to the rescue Turkish Salad

Sally to the rescue tomato and walnut salad.
Gavurdag smile emoticon
I had this salad when we were in Turkey and I loved it loved!
It's real name is Gavurdag Salad But I'm calling it Sally to the rescue salad!
When this was ordered for me I was a bit weary as nuts and fruit are fine, but I want salads with with rocket, cucumber maybe a sprinkle of slivered almonds….your getting the idea, right?
I decided I was making this as soon as we got home.
I really liked it that much!.
Well I find I will need pomegranate molasses…I'm thinking really!!!!
So I actually looked up how to make it….. Then I asked the local community where to buy it.
Off I go, couldn't find it so bought pomegranate juice ready to make my own.
Couldn't bring myself to buy the 5kg's of pomegranates like one of the recipes called for.
Then I get a knock of the door and the lovely Sally is stood there with a bottle of Pomegranate molasses smile emoticon
This is so easy and tastes SOOOOO good the next day!!!!
You'll will need:
Tomatoes ~ chopped
bunch of flat leafed parsley ~ chopped
Small onion finely chopped
Walnuts ~ chopped 1/4 cup
Extra virgin olive oil ~ 1tablespoon
pomegranate molasses ~ 2 tablespoons
red chili flakes ~ 1 teaspoons
sumac (optional) ~ 1 teaspoon
salt and pepper

Chop the onions and in a bowl add half of the chili flakes, sumac and add salt and pepper. Mix well! Leave for a short time
Then add the chopped tomatoes and parsley and mix well
add the rest of the chili flakes and sumac.
Add the oil and the pomegranate molasses. Mix really well.
Top with chopped walnuts.
Enjoy :)
